Definitions that should be used in Architectural contracts
Instrument of Architectural Services
“instruments of architectural service” means tools/means used to communicate/ provide architectural solutions;
Note : Architects do not sell any product, the drawings, specifications, Illustrations/3D Renderings are not products that they sell. they are tools/means to communicate the design solution Architects have recommended.
Responsible Control
“responsible control” means that amount of control over the content of all “architectural instruments of service” during their preparation that is ordinarily exercised by architects applying the required professional standard of care.
